Jessica’s coaching approach is specifically tailored to each individual. In my circumstance, I was struggling with a painful breakup, a significant weight gain, and an addiction to alcohol at the time we started working together. I was emotionally unstable, spent much of my time stuck in the past, had lost sight of my vision for my future, and couldn’t enjoy the present moment. Jessica became my life coach through this, adjusting her schedule to take my calls during emotional breakdowns. Not only was she a great listener, adviser, and confidant (all qualities I would look for in a coach), she was adamant about holding me accountable for hitting the expectations I set for myself. Jessica approached every coaching conversation with a compassionate intention to propel me forward. It was a shift in my diet, sleep patterns, and relationship with alcohol, in addition to changes in daily habits like journaling, reading, and singing – that lead to an overall shift in how I now manage my emotional and physical health today. Though it was really the process of growing and pushing myself that impacted me the most, the results are also great: I lost 14 pounds, completely reset my relationship with food and alcohol, and have found a way to manage and honor my emotions in a healthy way. I sleep better, work more efficiently, have more fulfilling relationships, and have (most importantly), learned to love myself. What’s perhaps most exciting and rewarding to me is that I love myself not because of the result I have achieved, but because of the way I was able to grow as a person throughout that process. I feel like I can do anything!

I have always been someone who has been strong, but carried a good 10-15 pounds of extra weight. I’ve tried a lot of diets throughout my whole life, and I have never had the most healthy relationship with food. Emotional turmoil or stress seemed to directly affect my eating patterns to the extent that I found the best way to manage my relationship with food was through diets (calorie restriction, carb restriction, etc.). Jessica started working with me 7 months ago and re-vamped my entire diet. While changes are always challenging at first, understanding the “why” was critical to Jessica’s coaching method, and with that, I was really able to jump on board.
